How Big is Jerusalem ?

Regarding the Population Size :

Around 850,000 people, which makes Jerusalem the biggest city in Israel, even more than Tel-Aviv, but unlike Tel-Aviv, a lot of suburbs are included within Jerusalem municipality. So Jerusalem is not a huge city like London or Paris where there are around 12 million people (There are about 9 million people in all Israel). In Jerusalem, about 60% of the population is Jew, 35% Muslim and 5 % Christian and other minorities.

Regarding the Physical  Size :

The Old City is about 1 Km wide, it’s easy to walk in it.
From the Central Bus Station till the old city, there are 3 Km, I walked that path many times, it takes about half hour. There is the tramway going that way. The Town Center is right before the Old City.
